Business Operations Manager

During my three years with Inhabitat my title evolved from Operations Assistant to Communications Manager to Business Operations Manager. Regardless of title, my role at Inhabitat required working knowledge, interaction and management,  inside all of the aspects of a running a small business. While I was at Inhabitat we grew from a small tech start-up with 4 million monthly page views and 5 employees to, 12 million page views  and 10+ employees (not including the team of 30-40 international writers).

Operations and Team Management
I hired, trained and managed Inhabitat's staff of assistants and interns. Our interns worked within the following departments: Operations, Design, Photography, Editorial and Business Strategy.

Marketing and Adversiting
The marketing and advertising associated with Inhabitat were facilitated through two channels, in-house and network. These campaigns usually included both sponsored content and banner advertising. Produced compelling, audience-centric web content and promotions to address client's marketing goals and effectively engage their target demographics. Clients include: The Gap, Philips, Mercedes Benz, Toyota, Sprint, Intel and Adobe.

Ecommerce
For Inhabitat's Ecommerce portal, inhabitatShop, we worked with third party distributors to set up a system of commerce that connected smaller (sustainable) products companies with consumers all over the world. In addition to the financial components we also ran promotions and created seasonal content to support the selling of products in the Inhabitatshop.
