Product Definition

uMARKIT is a mobil product using sMs text messaging to help small business owners keep track of their nancial activity. uMARKIT users do most of their sales in cash and have limited access to computer assisted accounting programs.They are often located in low-income areas or devel- oping countries with limited access to investment capital. The cobination of these two factors makes is dif cult for these small business owners to borrow the money needed to grow their business.The process of getting a loan is a dif cult one mostly because they are not able to show mico-lenders the type of nancial activity needed to quickly get approved for the type of loans they need. uMARKT will make it possible for these small business owners to keep track of their nancial activity, while also making it easier for bank lenders to asses their eligibil- ity for loans.
